THE EFFECT OF DIARY MEDIA ON THE KNOWLEDGE AND LEUKORRHEA PREVENTION ATTITUDE OF THE TENTH GRADE STUDENTS AT MAN TANJUNG SELOR

Abstract / Deskripsi:
Background: Leukorrhea is liquid that run out from vagina. According to Health Ministry of Republic of Indonesia (2008) Leucorrhea is not often handled seriously by the teenage girls. Indeed, Leukorrhea can be an indication of a disease. Almost all women have suffered from Leukorrhea. MAN is a school which has the highest percentage of girl students of tenth grade and those who suffered from Leukorrhea was 93% of the 48 students and they have not gotten any socialization about Leukorrhea. Objectives: To know the effect of diary media on the knowledge and Leukorrhea prevention attitude of the tenth grade students at MAN Tanjung Selor. Methods: This research is quantitative research with pre experimental design. The number of sample are 48 students, and they are selected by using total sampling technique. The instrument of this research is questionnaire and the data are analyzed by using hypothesis testing of wilcoxon sign rank test. Findings: The P value is 0.00 (<0.05) for knowledge and P value is 0.00 (<0.05) for attitudes, therefore, based on these values, it can be seen that there is an effect of diary media on knowledge and Leukorrhea prevention attitude. Conclusion: There is an effect of diary media on the knowledge and Leukorrhea prevention attitude of the tenth grade students at MAN Tanjung Selor.
