THE CORRELATION WORK ATTITUDE AND COMPLAINTS OF LOW BACK PAIN (LBP) FOR UNLOADING FISH WORKERS IN FISH LANDING BASE SELILI SAMARINDA

Abstract / Deskripsi:
Introduction : Among the muscoloskeletal system complaints, the most occurred to workers is waist muscle (low back pain = LBP). A research shows that 85% people in the society have experienced at least once in life affected by low back pain. Some factors that can cause low back pain are sitting behavior, working for long periods in a bending position, lifting and carrying loads without ergonomic behavior, abnormal spinal curvatures or caused by certain diseases like degenerative disease. Objective : Understand the connection between work attitude and complaints of low back pain for unloading fish workers in Fish Landing Base Selili Samarinda. Research Method : Quantitative research method using cross sectional study. The samples are 66 workers. The instrument for measuring LBP is Nordic Body Map and Rapid Entire Body Assessment paper for work attitude. The test that’s used is spearman rank correlation test. Result : Data analysis shows the results 14 workers with low risk of work attitude, 54 workers with high risk and 12 with very high risk. For complaints of low back pain, 6 workers with low risk, 56 workers with medium risk and 4 workers with high risk. Based on statistic test result obtained p value is 0,176, so the result is 0,176 > 0,05. Conclusion : There is no connection between work attitude and complaints of low back pain (LBP) for unloading fish workers in Fish Landing Base Selili Samarinda.
