Abstract / Deskripsi:
Background: One of a negative activity of teenegers is smoke. Smoking is an interfere habit and adverse the health. Many diseases caused by smoking, either directly. To reduce the number of diseases and/or the death rate and to reduce the smoker in Indonesia, the government create a policy with establish the free smoke area. SMK Istiqomah Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda hasn’t apply this program in their school areas and they never get the counseling about Free Smoke Area. Research Purpose: To find out the influence of counseling with movie media about free smoke area of the knowledge and behavior of students in mechanical equipment SMK Istiqomah Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda. Methods: Experiment research design with pre experimental design program and the sampling technique used total sample. Based on calculate of SPSS, the result of Wilcoxon test of knowledge variable p value 0,00 < 0,05, so that there is a difference between the knowledge and behavior of the students in mechanical equipment class X and XI SMK Istiqomah Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda, before and after counseling with movie media about free smoke. Research Result: There is an influence of conseling with movie media about free smoke area to the knowledge and behavior of student SMK Istiqomah Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda. Conclusion: There is an influence of movie media about free smoke area to the knowledge of students in SMK Istiqomah Muhammadiyah 3 Samarinda.
