Abstract / Deskripsi:
Background: Organisasion World Health Organization (WHO) in 2009 sparked global patient safety challenge with clean care is safe care, is to formulate innovative strategies for the implementation of hand hygiene of health workers with five moments for hand hygiene. Compliance with health workers in procedures remained measures, including hand washing procedures, becomes one of determining the success of the prevention of nosocomial infections (costy, 2013). Washing hands is the most important act and to be the only way to prevent the spread of disease and illness. So based on what the authors are interested in conducting a study with the title "Knowledge Relationships Health Workers About Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) SOP Handwashing With the adoption of hand washing in IGD Panglima Sebaya Tana Paser general hospital ".Objective: To determine the relationship between knowledge of health workers wash their hands IGD SOP with SOP implementation of hand washing in hospitals IGD Commander Peer Tana Paser. Methods: This study used research design correlation with cross-sectional approach. Sampling using total sampling as many as 36 respondents. While data collection techniques using questionnaires. Results: The results of statistical tests using 22 health workers (61.1%) whose knowledge are obtained 18 votes (81.8%) that the application of SOP is also good hand washing and 4 (18.2%) that the application of SOP less good hand washing. Of the 14 health workers (38.9%) were less knowledgeable are obtained 3 (21.4%) that the application of SOP good hand washing and 11 (78.6%) that the application of SOP less good hand washing. From the above data it is said that the better a person's level of knowledge the better the application of SOP hand washing is done. Relationships knowledge of the health workers wash hands SOP Sop application of hand washing in hospitals IGD Commander Peer Tana Paser using Chi-square test with an error rate (alpha) of 0.05, the result obtained significant p value (0.001) which means p value <0, 05, df = 1, x² = 8125 (pvalue = 0.001, OR 16500, CI 95% CI 95% to the value of 3093 s / d 88 034). Conclusion: There was a significant correlation between the knowledge of health personnel on the application of SOP SOP wash hands with hand washing.
