Abstract: Acne vulgaris (AV), or better known as acne, is a skin disease that is often found in teenagers, (Yuindartanto, 2009). Acne Vulgaris usually appear when someone stepped on the age of puberty. Acne Vulgaris become a common health problem. Acne vulgaris can be prevented by a diet low in fat and carbohydrates and do skin care, diligently cleaning the surface of the skin of dirt, avoid stress and the use of cosmetics in moderation. To handle the case of acne, the most important thing is to provide sufficient information on risk factors, prevention, treatment and prognosis. The authors are very interested in doing a study entitled "Knowledge and Attitude of Patients About Acne Vulgaris Through Prevention Health Education in Dermatology Hospital Clinic Commander Peer". Objective: The purpose of this study to determine the knowledge and attitudes of patients about the prevention of Acne Vulgaris through health education in hospitals Commander Peer Tana Paser. Methods: This study used a pre-experimental research study design (pre-experimental design) with one group pretest-posttest design. Results: Through the paired difference test sample T-test, proved to be no difference significant knowledge to the prevention of acne vulgaris before and after health education with a value of t = 10 688 greater than 2,005 and pvalue table => 0.05. Where data posttest (Mean: 14.63 and SD: 0.228) has a value - average greater daripda the value pretest (Mean: 11.85 and SD: 0.391. Similarly, the difference test paired sample T-test, proved to be no difference in the attitude of significant prevention of acne vulgaris before and after health education with a value of t = 16 235 greater than t table = 2,005 and pvalue> 0.05. Where data posttest (Mean: 9.33 and the SD: 0619) has a value - average greater daripda the value pretest (Mean: 7.04 and the SD: 0.213. Researchers had assumed that health education is given effect to changes in knowledge and attitudes in the prevention of acne vulgaris. Conclusion: Health education effect on knowledge and attitudes of patients about the prevention of Acne Vulgaris.
